Cancun Day Two!

When Kinley woke up from her nap yesterday, her hair looked like this! Had to get a pic!

So, after a big day at the pool, we all got ready and went to the Rainforest Cafe thinking that the kiddos would love it! Well, Kinley did, but Kason was pretty scared of the thunderstorm and the freaky looking monkeys that moved! We found Nemo in the aquarium though and they were both excited about that.

After we ate, we took the kids back to the hotel to go to bed and Jason, Sarah, and I went to WalMart. So, we get on the bus and everyone is ready to go out for the night and we ask the bus driver where WalMart is! We are really cool :)  It was a different kind of WalMart experience but we did make it back with some sort of food and diapers! Apparently WalMart stores are NOT all the same!

Today we spent another day at the pool and beach! We got a lot of good use out of the water slide and the kids get to ride it with us also!
They think that this is pretty cool!

Gigi put the kids at the edge of the slide and let the water shoot their floats....they didn't really ride down by themselves!

Cancun Vacation! Day One!

Well, we took off yesterday (my 30th birthday) on the airplane for Cancun, Mexico! We thought the kids would sleep on the plane (at least a little bit) but actually, they had no plans for that! They weren't bad at all, they were interested in watching outside and hanging out with Mommy and Daddy one on one, which they don't get to do enough! We got to Cancun about 7:30 last night and got to the hotel about 9:00 pm.....it was getting dark so we could tell that it was a beautiful view, but couldn't really see it until we woke up this morning! The view is gorgeous and the water is beautiful! (Kids are napping now and I am on nap duty, so it gives me the perfect time to write on their blog!)

Here is the kids' first view of the ocean and resort! Kinley was mesmerized by the boats....she kept saying "Oh, boat!"
Before we went down to the pool, I took Kinley down to the pool to reserve a cabana with some swim stuff! I was trying to look up and find Gigi and Jason and Kason on the balcony, and I tripped backwards over some rock wall and busted it with Kinley! Luckily I kept Kinley off the ground, but I skinned my legs all up and it was SO EMBARRASING! All kinds of people were on their balconies watching, not to mention my husband! Kinley definitely gets her clutziness from her momma! I am just glad that I didn't break my ankle or something! Geez!
We swam and went to the beach a few times today! Once before anyone else was probably even awake! Kids were back asleep for their nap by 9:30 because they were so tired from yesterday! Kinley seemed to really like the ocean the first time and Kason got used to it by the second time! He was a little frightened the first time....The pool has a kiddie pool and some really fun shallow spots and Kason's favorite part was the showers that you use to get the sand off from the beach! After the kids woke up, Aunt Sarah arrived and Kinley wanted to go to the beach, the beach, the beach! She also has learned the word ocean, Jessica, Sarah, Jason, and she has only said shoes 300 times so far today! Kason did learn beach after Sissy said it a million times, and it was super cute!

Kinley has really taken to Aunt Sarah! I am very surprised! (But really, who wouldn't love Sarah?) Usually it takes a while for Kinley to warm up to people, especially with Mommy around, but she went to Aunt Sarah right away!
It sprinkled a little this afternoon, and it made a beautiful rainbow!!  Gigi got some good pics of it!

Tulsa Zoo

We went to the zoo last weekend and used our Zoo Passes for the first time! 9 am turned out to be a great time to take the kiddos!
We hadn't taken them to a zoo since San Diego last summer and this was a completely different experience! They loved the animals and were repeating all the names, etc. (Well, we did do the Easter thing at the zoo, but didn't get to visit the animals on that trip) Anyway, Kason was very generous and tried to give some of his cereal to every single animal, regardless of the cage or glass or whatever....it was super cute!

Kinley started following along with the snack giving after awhile!

As we were walking along Kason actually dropped a piece of cereal on the ground and a wandering goose came to eat it! Then, he proceeded to follow us around and hiss at the kids! He really wanted that cereal!
Kason still loves the petting zoo! This is one area where Kason is braver than Kinley.....he walks right up to each animal and says "Hi!" He really likes those goats :) Usually they don't move when he pets them, but one twitched its ear right as he walked up to pet it and he flipped out! It really scared him!

I'm always trying to get in a photo, but that never works out!
