Trip to San Antonio

My cousins, Stephanie & Scott, went to Florida this week and asked us to come stay at their house in San Antonio with their kids while they were gone....their kids are Devin and Taylor and are 16 and 14, so they are quite fun :) We have had a great time!

They have a pool and we have been hanging out at the pool, went to the Drive Through Animal Wildlife Park and have been relaxing and watching movies in their theatre room! *Which I have decided we definitely need at our house!*

It has been nice not to worry about things and just hanging out with our family!
We drove down and the kids went to a restaurant and sat in the high chairs for the first time! They are just getting so big! Kinley wanted to eat the kids menu!

I gave the kids some Gerber finger foods while we were at the restaurant and they didn't quite know what to do with them. Kason kept trying to put them in his mouth but kept sweeping them off the table instead! Kinley wouldn't even look at the pieces!

We have been swimming in the pool quite a bit and that has been nice! The kids like to sit on the first step and splash and splash! They also have a rock waterfall overflow from the hot tub and Kason wanted to touch those rocks the whole time!

We went out to eat at a new pizza place by their house.....we fed the kids their dinner while there, but our daughter has some kind of new obsession with my toes! All she wants to do is look at my toes, wherever they are! So, the whole time she was in her highchair and I was trying to feed her, she had her head under the table trying to stare at my toes! That is also the reason why her face is completely covered with food!

Taylor is making the kids laugh at the restaurant!

We thought it would be really fun to take the twins to the Wild Animal Park that you drive through....Well, let's just say it was an experience! Both kids were tired, cranky, and hot! And hungry also! Basically, they sat in our laps and looked at the things inside the car instead of the animals! Kason's favorite exhibit was the seatbelt!

We really enjoyed our time with the kids (ours and Stephanie's!)
It's so hard to stay in touch with them so far away, so we really enjoyed the few days with them!

Kason's first haircut

On Tuesday, we took Kason to get his first haircut! I didn't really want to cut it, but apparently a lot of people think that (a) we are cutting it like a mohawk, or (b) it looks like a little toupee, so it was time :(

We took him to Kuts 4 Kids by Mr. Will. I think this is the only kids haircut place around! He was very fast and efficient and also very nice :) There were toys everywhere and Kason got to sit in a chair with a steering wheel which worked out great since he played with it almost the whole time! We took a little video of it (as you can see in the background) and Kason did a fantastic job! He didn't cry or get upset whatsoever :)

Great job, buddy! (Sissy was there, too, but she slept through the entire thing!)

Little Fishes

This last week, the kids have been swimming almost every single day! Brooke, Kristin, and I took the kids to Jeanette's pool on Monday, Brooke and I met a lot of people at Sharon's neighborhood pool on Tuesday and swam with them Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Stephanie's house in San Antonio!

Kason passed out in Connie's lap in the baby pool! Poor guy was pooped!

Jason's First Father's Day

Jason had his first Father's Day on Sunday! We let Daddy sleep in and then I went and got him breakfast while the kids took their first nap......when he got up, we gave him his card and presents! Kinley helped read the card and then ate some of it!

My dad, Jason's dad, Nick, Kelly, Parker, and Nanny came over to celebrate Father's Day....Parker, Kason, and Kinley played in the kids' splash pad! It has turned out to be a really fun toy! They can't get hurt, even if they fall over, and they can splash around, etc. The water is ice cold because it comes through the hose, but it didn't seem to bother the kids! Yay! The lasted a good hour and then all decided they needed a nap at once :) After their nap, we put Kason and Parker back in (Kinley was still snoozing) and they had fun then too! Score on the water toy!

After swimming, we decided to see how much different in size Parker and Kason are these days! Kason can't stand up by himself, but I helped him stand up. At Christmas time, there was a huge difference, but because babies grow so much at first, Kason is almost as big as Parker now! I'm sure they will be the same size soon!
