Lazy Sunday in Lakeland

When we got there we just wanted to have a lazy Sunday with the family! We decided to take the kids to the park though since it was so pretty and the kids are still not used to going outside!
It was CRAZY WINDY!! You can see how much the wind is blowing in the pictures!
We all had a fabulous time and truly enjoyed the weather!

Florida - Day One

When we got to Grandma's house, the first thing we had to do was get those kids in the tub! Aaaahhh!
Then, they had a great time exploring the new place. I was so proud of them for not breaking anything this week and listening to us when we said no! I must brag on them, they were very well behaved!

They also had a great time just playing in the backyard! We aren't used to nice weather and just hanging out outside, so this is a great change from our winter weather! They took their "puppies" outside with them and also got to meet some of the neighborhood dogs!

Driving to Florida

Well, considering how the trip started out, surprisingly, we had a great road trip! After we got past the first 3 hours that is :)
We tried to take off on Friday at 5:30, but after we had the entire car loaded and everyone in, it was dead! So, the jumper cables were under all of the luggage of course! So, we unloaded the luggage, got the jumper cables and started to jump the car.....Well, Jason accidently put them on backwards and the jumper cables melted immediately!
By this point, the kids are getting a little antsy about sitting in the driveway, so we all got out and went in. Daddy went to get new jumper cables at the store and got the car all started so we could get on our way! This time, it is 6:30 and we are headed out!
By the time we got on the Muskogee turnpike and to the first McDonald's, Jason started talking about the kid's medicine and I asked where it was.....well, it turns out that it was left in the garage when he cleaned out his car! So, we turned around and went back! This time, we pulled out a little after 7:00.
I made the mistake of saying "what next?" and right about the exact time that we were pulling back up to the McDonald's on the Muskogee Turnpike again, Kinley threw up all of her dinner ALL OVER herself and her carseat! This was actually the first time that one of our kids has thrown up stinky big kid throw up!
So, Daddy cleaned the seat and Mommy took Kinley into McDonald's to bathe her in the bathroom! They had no paper towels, so we had to use the dryer on the wall and it was quite a scene! People were staring and we really looked like homeless people :)
So, got back in the car all cleaned up (except for the lingering smell) and headed out again! This time, it was about 8:30 :)
About an hour down the road, Kinley threw up again! (Poor girl) So, clean up take two.....
Needless to say, we were ready for a normal drive! Kids went to sleep after this and the rest of the trip went beautifully! Kinley \never got sick again and they never complained about their car seats or riding forever or anything!
We arrived in Lakeland, FL at 6:00 pm on Saturday and were ready for some major baths!

Cap and Drew Turn Two!

Cap and Drew celebrated their 2nd birthday at a barnyard bash this last weekend! Kinley went on her "first date" with Drew around the backyard :)
I put together a little video of the party!

Lion Backpacks

If you didn't know, we are driving the kids to Florida this Friday to Grandma's house! I know, we might be crazy! Nana is going also, so we are going to take turns and try to drive all night!
We are also going to go to Magic Kingdom one day because Mommy loves it and the kids are still free! They can ride some of the rides with us and I think they will get a big kick out of the characters and the parade! We shall see :)
Anyway, I purchased some "backpacks" in hopes it would make life easier on our journey to Disney! A friend said, "You should never judge someone with leashes until you have two 15 months olds running in different directions!"
When I opened the packages, the kids both immediately roared! The lion sound is their favorite animal sound to make right now and they recognized the lions right away! We put them on and they seemed to really like them! They also really love boxes and wanted to climb in boxes around the house for a good hour the other morning....so funny!
Kinley just HAD to take her guitar into the box with her!
Here we are acting so sweet and pushing one another on the car!
Whoops! Nevermind! Kason has decided he wants on the car instead!

Guess we know who won!

Jace's Basketball Game

On February 27th, the kids and I went to see Jace play basketball in the playoffs! Gigi and Jim went also!
Jace played great and they won both games that night!
In the gym, they had a walking track that overlooked the gym. Kason had a fabulous time running around the track and so did Kash! Kinley just wanted to hold Mommy's hand and walk around like she always does :)

Happy Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Day, the four of us went to church and then Mommy went to see Sleeping Beauty at the ballet with Nana. The kids seem to be getting better at being dropped off in the nursery. I always have to go check on them to make sure they are ok before I can enjoy the church service! (I know, crazy huh?)
The kids got whistles at Kash's birthday party and in the pictures below, they are trying to whistle as well as swing them at each other :)

They are leaning in to give each other kisses in this picture!

Winter Fun!

We had another snow at the end of January but this time we were at home! We bundled the kids up one day and took them outisde to touch and feel the snow. It was almost naptime when we took them out so they were a little crabby, but we didn't stay out long. They didn't quite understand that you can walk in the snow and it was funny!
