Trip to Arbuckle Wilderness

Ok, so I am a LITTLE behind again! Not that I have a lot of free time or anything!
We will start back with our little adventure to Davis, OK at the end of September!

Gigi, Papa Steve, Nanny, Papa Danny, and the 4 of us all rented a house in Davis, OK to go to Arbuckle Wilderness and Turner Falls! Unfortunately, it turned cold just days before we left, so there wasn't much swimming to be done, but the weather was beautiful for the drive-through animal park. If you haven't seen this park, you should go! It was hilarious! The animals must never get fed because they pretty much attack your car and never leave. The camels had the worst breath I have ever smelled and they were constantly in the car! At first the kids were a little apprehensive, but once they realized the animals were everywhere, they got used to them!

This is a giraffe's tongue! Disgusting!
Watch this video of the giraffe's tongue! It is even more gross than the picture!

You know that we had to stop at the photo opportunity spot and take as many pictures as possible! :)

Here is a video of Papa Steve feeding these mean little ostriches!

Kinley is almost as tall as this giraffe! :)

In the evening, we went down to Chickasaw National Park and found this little waterfall.....it got dark quick, and the water was freezing, but some people didn't seem to mind!

On Sunday, we went to Turner Falls. The falls are beautiful! The kids wanted to jump in with everyone else but like I said, it was ICE COLD! We did give in and put on their swimsuits though, but WE never went past our knees! The kids never acted like it was cold.....amazing.
