So, we have been working on this. The problem is that when Jason or I use a very firm "No" the kids laugh at us! I am not kidding! Jason and I can say it very firm and mean sounding, but they literally laugh at us!
In Florida, my mom said "Kason, we don't do that" in a VERY nice voice and he was horrified and cried for 15 minutes that he had gotten in trouble. Jason and I tried that and he still just laughed! Grandma told Kason (in a very nice voice) not to touch something and he also turned into Mr. Sensitive and bawled! I guess we need to hire someone to be our "no person" :)
The other funny thing about saying "no" is that whenever we tell Kason not to do something, Kinley watches and immediately goes and does the same thing Kason just got in trouble for until we tell her "no" and she grins a little ornery grin while she does it! EVERYTIME we tell Kason no, she does this :)
One of their favorite things to do is take all of the diapers out of the box when we get a new box of diapers. They don't hurt them, so we let them and then we put them all back in together :)
So, yesterday, they were doing this and Kason was sitting up against the entertainment center. He decided to start banging his head against it repeatedly while laughing. So, I said "No".
Kinley was sitting in the middle of the living room floor and started banging her head against the AIR until I had to tell her "no" also to get her to quit! It was hysterical!
Kason and Kinley always like to crawl into the box afterwards!
These are faces Kinley is making when I tell her "no" and to not stand up in this chair!
